Dramatic Fire Erupts in Oil Tanker Truck at Gas Station in Kranuan District, Khon Kaen (Video)

A fire broke out in an "oil tanker truck" at a gas station near a school zone in Kranuan District, Khon Kaen Province. Authorities are currently rushing to contain the fire.

It was reported that the Facebook pageFire & Rescue Thailandposted that at 10:00 AM on 2 February 2026 GMT+7, a fire occurred inside a gas station in Kranuan District, Khon Kaen. Initially, the fire involved an oil tanker truck.

After receiving the report, officials quickly coordinated with nearby rescue units and fire trucks to urgently control the situation. Explosions were heard intermittently at the scene, prompting authorities to cordon off the surrounding area to prevent danger and ensure public safety.

The gas station is reported to be near Srikranuan Wittaya School. Teachers and staff immediately decided to evacuate all students from the school buildings, moving them to a safe location away from the incident, while closely monitoring the students amid the panic and chaos.

Meanwhile, firefighters deployed several water trucks and used water mixed with foam continuously to control the fire, aiming to prevent it from spreading to nearby areas, especially the gas station and important buildings, which could cause severe damage if the fire spread.

So far, there have been no reports of injuries or deaths. The cause of the explosions and the extent of the damage are under investigation by relevant authorities.

Further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
