Family Holds Merit-Making Ceremony on 1st Anniversary of Ae Phairojs Passing Daughter Vows to Continue His Work

It has been exactly one year since the entertainment industry lost a beloved actor and director who was a cherished figure for many. Ae Phairoj Sangwibutr. He passed away permanently due to coronary artery disease. This morning, 3 June 2026 GMT+7, his family held a merit-making ceremony to mark the first anniversary of Ae's passing. In the morning, they offered alms meals to nine monks and were honored by the presence of Phra Phayom Kallayano, who joined the ceremony. Ae's daughter Best Panicha shared her heartfelt thoughts with reporters about her father.

“It’s been exactly 365 days since 3 June. The feelings remain the same; it feels like time has passed very quickly, almost unbelievable. I miss my father every day. Saying this brings tears to my eyes. Over the past year, I have continued my father’s film projects. It feels like it just happened recently. Whenever someone talks about my father, I tear up and feel a deep sense of loss. If he were still here, he could have done so much good for others. I’m glad that people still love and remember him. I believe my father knows how I feel. I miss him and don’t want him to worry. We chose to hold the merit-making at Suan Kaew Temple because my father was ordained there 40 years ago. Today, I showed his photo to Phra Phayom as well. Regarding my father’s film, all production processes are complete; now we are just waiting for the platform release and screening date.”
