Or Tor Kor Market turned its promotion area into a battleground for competitive eaters and hosted a major event."Or Tor Kor Eat-Big-Give-Away Challenge: No One Gets Full! Battle for the Championship Belly!"On Saturday, 29 November, food influencers gathered to compete in eating crispy pork dishes, aiming to boost the economy and showcase the market's role as a quality food hub.
The event's highlight was the gathering of online foodies including Yong 10kcalmuscle, Witya Bapalung, Bignay, Man Hen Kaikin, and Nai Oh Mohohiw, who demonstrated their eating skills to promote the delicious products inside the market.
"Yong"shared his eating style, emphasizing eating large quantities and free meals, and said he especially enjoys contests with cash prizes.
“Basically, my approach is that as a bodybuilder I control my diet six days a week, and Sunday is my cheat day when I eat as much as I can. This is my personal method—eating heavily on just one day.”
Regarding how to eat large amounts without harming health, Yong, the 10kcalmuscle bodybuilder, explained that most competitive eaters are slim and fit because they exercise intensively, especially cardio, and usually eat just one meal on event days.
Another highlight was the food selected by Or Tor Kor Market as the contest menu, reflecting the diversity and quality of Thai street food. Dishes included red pork and crispy pork rice served with thick crispy pork skin and soft-boiled eggs, freshly stir-fried Pad Thai with fresh shrimp, shrimp paste fried rice with generous side dishes, as well as roasted duck and stewed duck with tender meat and rich broth.
Additionally, the event allowed home contestants to join and challenge their eating abilities, adding excitement and liveliness to the occasion.
