
The Office of the Attorney General and the Department of Special Investigation signed an MOU for academic cooperation to strengthen capabilities and integrate knowledge within the justice process, aiming to enhance professionalism and modernization.
At 10:00 a.m. on 5 May 2026, at the reception room of the Department of Special Investigation on the 2nd floor of Ratchaburidirekrit Building, Government Complex, Mr. Chokchai Thitikajatham, Deputy Attorney General, and Pol. Col. Yuttana Praedam, Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, jointly signed a memorandum of understanding for academic cooperation. This agreement aims to strengthen capabilities and integrate knowledge in the justice process between the Office of the Attorney General and the Department of Special Investigation. Mrs. Walairat Boonprasong, Director-General of the Prosecutor Development Institute, and Pol. Lt. Col. Wisanu Chimtrakoon, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, along with executives from both agencies, attended the ceremony.
The Deputy Attorney General stated that this represents a shared commitment between the Office of the Attorney General and the Department of Special Investigation to develop operations within the justice process for better coordination and greater efficiency. It serves as a key mechanism to advance training curricula, research, and knowledge exchange among personnel from both agencies. This cooperation helps ensure mutual understanding of legal issues and operational guidelines. The partnership will foster alignment in agency operations, ultimately improving the quality and efficiency of case files and legal proceedings.
Pol. Col. Yuttana said the Department of Special Investigation and the Office of the Attorney General both play critical and closely connected roles in the justice process—from investigation and case review to court prosecution. Coordination and mutual understanding between the agencies are crucial factors for enhancing operational efficiency and building public confidence in the justice system.
