The BKS revealed that in the first 8 days of the "Thai Chua Thai Plus" program, nearly 2,000 people used their rights to purchase bus tickets, with transactions totaling over 1.1 million baht. They emphasized that usage via the Paotang app is available until 30 Sep 2026 GMT+7.
Mr. Attawit Rakjamroon, President and CEO of the Transport Company Limited (BKS), stated that the company has received positive feedback from the public interested in using the “Thai Chua Thai Plus” (60/40) subsidy to pay for BKS bus tickets continuously. The scheme is convenient and covers all areas nationwide. Importantly, it helps save travel expenses and reduce the cost of living when using public buses because the government subsidizes 60% of the fare, while passengers pay 40%. The beneficiaries include both regular BKS bus commuters and occasional travelers who now have more travel options using the program.
The company summarized that from 1 to 8 June 2026, a total of 1,913 people used the “Thai Chua Thai Plus” (60/40) scheme to buy BKS bus tickets over 8 days. The total program amount was 1,102,136 baht, divided into 382,600 baht paid by the government and 719,536 baht paid by the public.
The public can use the rights "Thai Chua Thai Plus" through the "Paotang" application to buy BKS bus tickets of all standards and routes from now until 30 September 2026 GMT+7, between 06:00 and 23:00, at 139 BKS ticket sales points nationwide. Key conditions are as follows:
The subsidy limit allows use of up to 200 baht per day from government funds. If the fare exceeds this limit, the passenger must pay the difference in cash or deduct it from the Paotang app balance.
Additional discounts can be combined with BKS Member fare discounts (5–10%) according to company conditions.
Ticket refunds are not allowed under any circumstances once tickets are purchased using this right.
If purchasing tickets for others, the user must provide the name and ID number of the traveler before ticket issuance.
