Flooding in Su-ngai Kolok Narathiwat Province municipality issues urgent evacuation warning for flood-prone areas following sudden flash floods to ensure safety.
On 26 Nov 2025 GMT+7, reporters reported that Narathiwat Province continues to experience rainfall covering all 13 districts, with intermittent showers in some areas. Rainfall in the Su-ngai Kolok and Waeng districts, which are upstream areas of the Kolok River, has been steadily increasing. Notably, in Waeng district, yellow flags have been raised as warnings for residents along the riverbanks to prepare to evacuate essential belongings due to rising floodwaters. Currently, the Kolok River water level is just 0.35 meters below the riverbank.
Meanwhile, the Narathiwat Irrigation Project issued its second alert (monitoring) for the Kolok River basin, warning residents in Su-ngai Padi district and along the Kolok River from Waeng down to Su-ngai Kolok district, including Su-ngai Kolok municipality, Ban Muno market in Muno subdistrict, and Tak Bai district, to closely monitor the water situation.
Su-ngai Kolok Municipality has officially announced urgent evacuation warnings due to flash flooding in several areas. Residents in vulnerable zones, especially those along the Su-ngai Kolok River, are urged to evacuate immediately for their safety and that of their families. Those needing assistance or unable to evacuate on their own can contact officials 24 hours a day; teams are fully ready to provide support.
