There is no indication it will enter the South China Sea and it will not affect Thailand's weather.
Mekkhala refers to the sea goddess in Thai mythology. This is the seventh storm of the season officially named by RSMC Tokyo, Japan. The storm's center is in the western Pacific Ocean, moving toward Taiwan and not heading into the South China Sea.
There is no impact on Thailand. The storm is far from our country and thus has no influence on Thai weather. The public should not worry or panic over rumors.
