Daikin Announces Work Suspension, Union Members Unable to Agree on Bonus Dispute

"Daikin" has announced a work suspension for the Daikin Amata Rak Seri Labor Union and related union members following a failure to reach agreement on a bonus dispute.

On 4 Dec 2025 GMT+7, an announcement from Daikin Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was circulated online. It notified of a work suspension. The notice stated that Daikin Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd. had submitted claims to the Daikin Amata Rak Seri Labor Union and engaged in negotiations, but no agreement was reached. The company declared the matter a labor dispute to the labor dispute conciliators and continued mediation efforts. The latest negotiation took place on 4 Dec 2025 GMT+7, but no agreement was reached on both documents. The company then ended negotiations at 12:00.

Therefore, since the mediation by the labor dispute conciliators failed to reach a resolution, the dispute remains unresolved and is considered a labor conflict.

This letter informs the Daikin Amata Rak Seri Labor Union and labor dispute conciliators that the company will exercise its right to suspend work with the Daikin Amata Rak Seri Labor Union and related union members, effective from 6 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at 08:00 onwards.
