The Premier League has announced the opening and closing dates for the 2026-27 season, along with the periods for both the summer and winter transfer windows.
On 23 May 2026, the English Premier League released the official start and end dates for the 2026-27 season, as well as the schedules for the summer and winter transfer windows. This allows all 20 top-flight clubs to plan their squad strengthening and team adjustments accordingly.
The Premier League season for 2026-27 will commence on 22 August 2026. One week prior, the Community Shield will be contested between Arsenal, the Premier League champions, and Manchester City, the FA Cup winners. The season will conclude on 30 May 2027.
The summer transfer window will open on 15 June 2026 and close at 23:00 BST on 1 September 2026. The winter transfer window will open on 1 January 2027 and close at 23:00 BST on 1 February 2027.
