Reignwood Group joins forces with the Table Tennis Association to celebrate 50 years of Thai-Chinese relations by launching a historic youth ping pong tournament competing for the 2025 Thai-China Friendship Trophy at Reignwood Park on 6-7 December.
Reignwood Group, a global leader in quality of life development through the Reignwood Culture Foundation in Beijing, announced a key partnership with the Table Tennis Association of Thailand and the Shaanxi Provincial Sports Group to open a new chapter in sports history. They will host the “2025 Youth Table Tennis Thai-China Friendship Trophy Competition,” aiming to use international sports standards as a bridge to strengthen friendships and celebrate the 50th anniversary of Thai-Chinese diplomatic relations. The press conference was held on 28 November 2025 at Renxiu Palace, the East-West Cultural Exchange Center within the Reignwood Park project in Pathum Thani Province, attended by senior executives and representatives from both countries announcing their readiness.
Worapanit Ruayrungroeng, Chief Executive Officer of Reignwood Group, spoke about the project’s origins: “Reignwood Group and the Foundation are firmly committed to supporting social activities and youth. This competition arises from our intention to use sports as a universal language to connect Thai and Chinese youth. We are proud to use Reignwood Park as a lasting platform of friendship, aligning with the Belt and Road Initiative.”
Mr. Sakul Ariyachotima, Secretary-General of the Table Tennis Association of Thailand, revealed that the association has helped plan and organize the competition to meet international standards, ensuring that the Reignwood-initiated event serves as a true test of skill. China has selected its top athletes from over 600 candidates, narrowing down to just 25 to visit Thailand. Meanwhile, the association has sent the 2025 Thai national youth team, chosen from across the country, to compete. This promises a high-quality match rarely seen and a model for developing Thai youth athletes toward global standards.
“In table tennis, China is the world leader. This exchange is a way to strengthen Thai-Chinese relations. Since the Reignwood Foundation can connect with China, the association has collaborated with Reignwood.”},{
