The Thai national team has selected two prominent athletes to carry the Thai flag leading the parade at the 2025 SEA Games opening ceremony.
On 4 December 2025, "Big Tom" Thana Chaiprathit, head of the athletes' delegation, revealed that "View" Kulwut Vitidsant, a badminton player, and Janjam Suwanpeng, a female Olympic boxing medalist, will carry the Thai flag leading the athletes at the SEA Games 2025 opening ceremony on 9 December.
With only five days remaining until the 33rd SEA Games, set from 9 to 20 December, one highlight is which athletes will be honored to carry the Thai national flag into the stadium during the opening ceremony.
"Big Tom" Thana Chaiprathit said he has consulted with sports associations to select the athlete who will have the honor of carrying the tricolor flag into the stadium at the SEA Games opening ceremony.
They have now chosen the appropriate athletes: the male athlete is "View" Kulwut Vitidsant, a badminton player and silver medalist at the Olympic Games in France.
The female athlete selected is Janjam Suwanpeng, a female Olympic boxing bronze medalist at the 2024 Olympics in France. Both athletes are highly fitting choices.
"Big Tom" Thana Chaiprathit added that the athlete chosen to deliver the oath is "Biew" Phuriphon Boonsorn, a Thai national sprinter who will hold the oath flag. Two other athletes selected to recite the oath are "Yu" Ballang Thapthimdaeng, the latest 68kg taekwondo world champion, and "Thanya" Wing Commander Thanyaporn Pruksakorn, a Thai pistol shooter with multiple Olympic appearances. The selections are all very appropriate.
