Today's result: Port FC narrowly beats BG to claim their second Thailand Cup title in 16 years.
On 24 May 2026 GMT+7, the 2025-26 Thailand Cup final (Thailand's League Cup) took place at Thammasat Stadium, Rangsit Center. Former champions Port FC faced off against BG Pathum United, who also have one previous title.
In the first half, "The Port Lions" Port FC had several clear chances to score, nearly taking the lead in the 19th minute from a corner kick. Nobori Shimura headed powerfully at the near post, but BG goalkeeper Saranon Anuin made a narrow save.
In the 29th minute, Port FC took a 1-0 lead on a counterattack. Teerasak Phewpimai dribbled past midfield and passed through to Lucas Costa, who made a run on the right side, controlled the ball, and shot into the near post inside the penalty box. Saranon Anuin could not cover the angle and the ball went in.
In the second half, BG Pathum United tried to equalize but their offense was not strong enough to apply sufficient pressure. They nearly conceded a second goal in injury time at 90+2 minutes when Peeradon Chamratsamee broke through and scored in the box, but the goal was ruled offside.
The match ended with Port FC narrowly winning 1-0 to secure the 2025-26 Thailand Cup. This is their second title in this competition after 16 years and their first championship in seven years since winning the Chang FA Cup in 2019.
