Ministry of Agriculture Holds Second Full Rehearsal for Royal Ploughing Ceremony 2026

The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives conducted the second full rehearsal for the 2026 Royal Ploughing Ceremony and First Rice Planting Ritual.


At 07:00 on 7 May 2026, at the ceremonial ground of Sanam Luang, Mr. Winaroj Sapsongsuk, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, served as Phra Ya Raek Na (Lord of the First Plough). The Golden Carrying Goddess was portrayed by Ms. Chantisa Areesawat, Senior Veterinary Officer from the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards, and Ms. Apichaya Fu-saeng, Senior Audit Officer from the Cooperative Auditing Department. The Silver Carrying Goddess roles were performed by Ms. Pornchitra Jancharoen, Senior Agricultural Promotion Officer, and Ms. Saranya Thongkam, Agricultural Promotion Officer, both from the Department of Agricultural Extension. Alongside them were officials from various divisions within the Ministry and representatives from related agencies such as the Royal Household Bureau, Ministry of Defence, and Royal Thai Police, gathered at Sanam Luang ceremonial grounds.

Mr. Winaroj Sapsongsuk, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, acting as Phra Ya Raek Na, stated that the ministry is fully prepared for the 2026 Royal Ploughing Ceremony, covering the venue arrangements, protocols for participation, security measures, traffic management, and systematic facilitation for all aspects of the event.

He also invited the public and interested farmers to watch the live broadcast on the Royal Thai Government Television Station and various online media on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, starting from 08:00 onwards.
