Makro-Lotus Join Forces with NFS to Promote Food and Agricultural Product Safety

Retail and wholesale outlets Makro-Lotus, operated by CP Axtra, have partnered with the National Food Safety Office (NFS) to campaign on global food safety, promoting the i-Traceability system to enhance consumer confidence.

On 29 May, reporters noted that CP Axtra Public Company Limited, operating Makro-Lotus wholesale and retail businesses, joined with the National Food Safety Office (NFS) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives to hold a campaign event under the theme From Burden to Solutions – Safe Food Everywhere. The initiative aims to raise awareness about food safety and build consumer trust to ensure broad access to safe food. It also supports the World Food Safety Day 2026 campaign. Each branch grouped safe agricultural and food products, covering the Q product group oragricultural products.and foods certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as Organic products, while managing food safety across the entire supply chain—from production, selection, transportation, and storage to sales—to emphasize the importance of quality control at every stage before reaching consumers.

Additionally, CP Axtra continues to raise product safety standards through ongoing cooperation with government agencies and related bodies by providing training and knowledge development on food standards for operators and staff. They have implemented the i-Trace traceability system to enhance transparency and consumer confidence. This system allows tracing information back to production origins, including cultivation sites, farms, or production facilities, as well as data on selection and distribution processes at each stage of the supply chain. This enables systematic product origin tracking and reinforces confidence that the food received has been monitored and inspected according to safety standards at every step before reaching consumers.
