
The Agricultural Museum Office, in collaboration with ARDA, launched Young Agri Future 2026, inviting young people to compete with sustainable agricultural innovations for total prizes exceeding 450,000 baht and opportunities to receive research grants totaling over 20 million baht. Applications open from 1 July to 25 August 2026 GMT+7.
On 25 June 2026 GMT+7, the Agricultural Museum Office (Public Organization) partnered with the Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization), ARDA, to hold a press conference launching Young Agri Future 2026. This is the second year of a competition for innovations and technologies in agriculture, agro-industry, or related sectors under the theme "Agricultural Innovations to Enhance Efficiency and Value of Production for Sustainable Thai Agriculture." The event took place at the Royal Agricultural Sciences Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Agricultural Museum Office building, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province.
Young Agri Future 2026 aims to provide a platform nationwide for youth, students, and new-generation farmers to present ideas and innovations that can be practically applied in Thai agriculture. The project seeks to promote the development and use of these innovations to enhance production efficiency, increase agricultural product value, and strengthen the country's future food security.
Ms. Siriporn Boonchu, Agricultural Expert Committee member of the Agricultural Museum Office and chair of the ceremony, said, "Last year's success reflected the creativity and potential of youth and students ready to apply innovative knowledge to agricultural development. Young Agri Future Year 2 is an important platform to continue the King's royal initiatives and showcase his agricultural genius, while offering young people the opportunity to help shape the future of Thai agriculture through creativity and technology."
"Modern agricultural development requires integrating the King's philosophy with contemporary innovations to balance security, sustainability, and national competitiveness. Young Agri Future serves as a learning space for young people to showcase their innovation and technology capabilities, inspire others, and discover new agricultural innovators who will play key roles in driving the country's agricultural sector forward," she added.
Chief Petty Officer Prasert Malai, Director of the Agricultural Museum Office, said, "The Agricultural Museum Office has a vital mission to promote the royal legacy and the King's agricultural genius, as well as to advance the philosophy of sufficiency economy into practical implementation."
He continued, "We believe that the younger generation is a crucial force for national development. Young Agri Future 2026 will bridge the King's knowledge with modern innovation and technology, providing space for youth, students, and new-generation farmers to jointly conceive, create, and develop practical projects at community, business, and national levels. This will contribute to raising farmers' quality of life and sustainable agricultural development in Thailand."
Mr. Thawisak Thanadechopol, Director of ARDA, added, "ARDA prioritizes promoting research and innovations that have practical applications, especially creating opportunities for youth and new researchers to develop their potential and advance their work for real agricultural use. Young Agri Future is a key platform linking creativity with research and innovations that address the agricultural sector's needs, including improving production efficiency, reducing costs, conserving the environment, and enhancing Thai farmers' quality of life. ARDA stands ready to support promising projects for commercial development and widespread use."
The 2026 competition accepts entries in three categories: 1) farmers and the general public, 2) high school and Vocational Certificate students, and 3) college and university students at diploma and bachelor's levels. Teams must consist of 3–5 members plus one advisor. Entries should align with the theme "Agricultural Innovations to Enhance Efficiency and Value of Production for Sustainable Thai Agriculture." Winners will receive trophies, plaques, and total prize money over 450,000 baht, plus opportunities for ARDA-funded research grants totaling more than 20 million baht to develop prototypes and commercialize innovations with potential for practical use in Thai agriculture.
Applications are open from 1 July to 25 August 2026 GMT+7. Finalists will be announced on 10 September 2026 GMT+7, and the awards ceremony will be held on 5 December 2026 GMT+7 at the Agricultural Museum Office in Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province.
