Following the incident involving a dispute between Nawat Israkaigsil, the big boss of Miss Grand and president of the Miss Universe 2025 organizing committee, and Fatima Bosch Fernandez, Miss Universe 2025 from Mexico, during the Miss Universe 2025 contestants' preliminary activities, Fatima gave misleading interviews about the event across various media, causing misunderstandings about Nawat and prompting him to file a lawsuit against her.
Recently, the Miss Universe Thailand page posted an image of the official complaint filed against Fatima, stating that Nawat authorized a representative to file the suit and provided this explanation:
“Miss Grand International Public Company Limited and Mr. Nawat Israkaigsil, chairman of the Host Committee for the 74th Miss Universe, officially announce again that regarding the widely reported situation during the competition between Mr. Nawat Israkaigsil and Ms. Fatima Bosch Fernandez on 4 November 2025,
we clarify once more that Mr. Nawat Israkaigsil never called Ms. Fatima Bosch Fernandez 'Dumbhead' in any manner. The statement he made was 'Damage,' as can be heard in the widely circulated audio clips.
[The phrase spoken: "If you follow the order from your national director, you’re damage. If you not, you can do it. I very happy and the good report will go to organize..."]
After Ms. Fatima Bosch Fernandez left the room, she falsely accused Mr. Nawat in front of the media, publicly speaking untruths. Even after learning the facts, she did not apologize to Mr. Nawat but continued to make defamatory statements in various interviews, seemingly to gain advantage and legitimize her participation in the competition, ultimately winning the Miss Universe title as everyone knows.
Moreover, even after obtaining the title, she has persisted in giving false interviews defaming Mr. Nawat through various media channels. Consequently, Mr. Nawat has formally filed a lawsuit against Ms. Fatima Bosch Fernandez in Thailand since 12 November 2025. Should further defamatory actions occur, he will pursue the matter to the fullest extent of the law.
We also urge media outlets to exercise caution when reporting this matter and to refrain from collaborating in Ms. Fatima Bosch Fernandez's defamation; otherwise, they may face legal action as accomplices in libel.
This is for your information.”
