On October 30, 2025, the organization Miss Universe Organization (MUO) issued a statement announcing the appointment of Mario Bucaro as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MUO. This took effect following a restructuring of the board of directors at JKN Global Group in Thailand, the parent company of MUO. He succeeded Ann Chakrajuthibodhi, who resigned on June 20, 2025.
However, the Miss Universe Organization recently posted an official statement saying that Mario Bucaro has officially ended his tenure as CEO, despite only starting the role in November 2025. The statement reads as follows:
“Mario Bucaro has ended his term as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Miss Universe Organization.

The Miss Universe Organization announces that Mr. Mario Bucaro has concluded his role as CEO, a position he assumed last November. This marks the close of his institutional service period, during which he played a key operational management role in producing the 74th Miss Universe pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand.
During his tenure, Mr. Bucaro played a vital role coordinating between domestic and international teams, strengthening strategic partnerships, and fostering effective communication across cultures, sponsors, institutional partners, the media, and the global community dedicated to empowering women.
Throughout his time with the organization, Mario Bucaro contributed significantly in areas such as planning, logistics, and coordinating with production teams, national pageant directors, and global partners. His involvement in managing and executing the 74th Miss Universe pageant was a major milestone that helped ensure the event's international success and broad recognition.
Mario Bucaro stated, “Those who know me and have worked alongside me understand that I have always upheld the highest ethical standards. In every responsibility I take on, I intend to leave a positive legacy with everyone I work with.” He added, “My time at this organization has been an incredibly valuable learning experience. I have had the honor to work alongside exceptional women, outstanding professionals, and a global community that truly believes in the power of women.”
