Ning Patama, a Luk Thung singer and Miss Grand Chonburi 2023, who is competing in Miss Grand Thailand 2023, has become a hot topic. Throughout the Miss Grand pageant preparations, Ning Patama has been in the spotlight for various reasons, including a microphone wiping drama, seductive dance moves on stage, and sharp answers cutting off corrupt politicians.
On one occasion, Ning Patama opened up to Ble Pathumrach on the show "Ble AM" about an unexpected singing gig experience. She revealed that a powerful figure from a neighboring country had hired her to sing VIP before taking her to a hotel. The door was locked. He undressed completely and said, "Tell me how much you want, and I'll give it to you." A struggle ensued before Ning used her composure to survive. Ning Patama explained,
"It was in a country that is not Thailand. I encountered a very powerful person. I went there to sing privately in a VIP setting. There werebodyguardsarmed with guns, at that level. They didn’t hire me for anything else, just to sing at a private event. So I accepted.
When he got drunk, he went to sleep in the hotel because I was singing there. He asked me to accompany him to his room. I went up with him because I was scared—scared I wouldn’t get home since there were only two of us that day.
(Did you have anyone to look after you?) There was a female manager and myself. We had to comply with his requests because we were afraid—he came withbodyguardscarrying guns. So I went up to accompany him. At that moment, he locked the door. The bodyguardsstood guard outside, and my manager was also there.
Then he undressed completely and said, "Tell me how much you want, and I’ll give it to you." But I refused. We struggled for a while—I got covered in bruises and scratches.
I felt I needed to soothe myself, so I tried to hold his hand and said, "I’ll stay and watch over you here tonight. When you wake up, you’ll see I’m still here next to you, not going anywhere." Then I gently comforted him, stroked him, and he fell asleep. Nothing happened, one hundred percent. I grabbed my shoes and went out to the door. I told the bodyguards
that he had fallen asleep.
After that, I was really scared I might die. Anyone who has been in a situation with guns and all that knows how terrifying it is. It might sound less scary when told as a story, but when you’re in it, your heart is pounding hard, thinking, "Will I survive tonight?"(He probably lacked affection) No, I think he spent so much money already—like he had receivedwhat he wanted.
And I had given him everything he wanted, though it’s different for everyone.Ning Patama herself respondedto commentsunder the clip, saying, "This incident happened in a neighboring country, not during a paid event in Thailand.".
