Suchart Chomklin Apologizes to Ingfa, Confirms No Lawsuit over Thap Lan National Park Issue, Emphasizes Right to Criticize Work (Video)

Following rumors that Mr. Suchart Chomklin Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, authorized Mr. Natthawut Wongniam his personal lawyer, to file a complaint with investigators to prosecute Ingfa Waraha Miss Grand Thailand 2022 and 1st runner-up Miss Grand International 2022, along with an athlete and one netizen, who were accused of encroaching on Thap Lan National Park, causing significant damage to the park’s reputation.

Before Nawat Itsaragrisil the Miss Grand pageant boss, posted a fiery Instagram story declaring full support for Ingfa, vowing to fight to the end to show who will prevail, and challenged the other side to file a lawsuit promptly without backing down or later claiming the news was false. He said this would be an exciting showdown to prove facts right in Thap Lan.

Recently, Mr. Suchart Chomklin posted a clarification on his personal Facebook page stating, "I want to clarify that the news claiming I ordered legal action against Ingfa and her team is not true. I have never had a policy or given orders to prosecute anyone.

Previously, legal advisors discussed the matter following standard procedures, but I disagreed with that approach because the most important thing now is to urgently solve problems for the people living in the Thap Lan area and ensure fairness for all parties.

I mentioned yesterday that even if I face criticism on social media, it does not compare to the tears of the affected locals. Today, I choose to focus on solving their problems rather than responding with lawsuits or retaliation.

The Ministry’s approach is to address the hardships of the people while simultaneously conserving natural resources, based on facts and the public interest. The information that has been circulated is inaccurate."

Additionally, Mr. Suchart opened up to the media about this issue, apologizing to Ingfa and everyone involved in the list. He said when the news broke, he was surprised and asked legal counsel to clarify that no lawsuits were authorized. He clearly stated in an interview that he is a man of integrity and accepts criticism of his work; he doesn’t mind being criticized or insulted on social media. However, he cannot bear to see the tears of struggling villagers. Criticism about work is acceptable, but accusations of corruption and fraud are not.
