Another heated drama hits the beauty pageant world after the Miss Universe Organization posted an official letter from JKN Universe LLC / Miss Universe Organization dated 14 Aug 2026, containing key points confirming official communication channels, denying authority of certain individuals, clarifying claims of shareholding in JKN Legacy Inc., and clearly stating the role of Nawat Itsaragrisil. .
The Miss Universe Organization announced new official communication channels, stating that the website missuniverse.com, along with related Facebook and X (Twitter) accounts, are operated without authorization from the organization's management. Henceforth, official company communications will be issued only through the new website missuniverseorg.com. Any announcements from the old channels will not be considered binding on the company.
They also denied the authority of Monil Ravindra Hathi and Pavan Misra, stating that neither has ever been appointed as directors, officers, or authorized signatories of the company. The company does not recognize any documents or actions undertaken by these individuals on its behalf.
Furthermore, the organization disputed claims that Monil Ravindra Hathi and Saravanan Mohan acquired 50% shares in JKN Legacy Inc., which were formerly held by JKN Global Group. It stated no documents, resolutions, or evidence of such share transfer exist in company records. Such transfer must comply with share transfer restrictions and rights of first refusal under shareholder agreements, which have not been fulfilled. Therefore, the company does not acknowledge this share acquisition.
The statement also addressed the role of Nawat Itsaragrisil (Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil). It clarified that Nawat's involvement with the Miss Universe Organization is solely as a National Director under a country-level license. He holds no position, ownership, or authority at the company level and cannot speak or act on behalf of the company. Any claims presenting Nawat as having broader roles or authority are unauthorized and should not be regarded as valid.
Regarding leadership, the Miss Universe Organization confirmed it continues under the leadership of President Raúl Rocha Cantú with management team members Ronald Day, José Ángel Castillo, Carlos Guillermo Martínez, Sebastián Figueroa Berducido, and María José Unda. They warned that other websites, domains, or emails claiming to represent the Miss Universe Organization should not be considered official unless verified via the main site.
They further clarified Nawat Itsaragrisil's position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Miss Universe Eastern, responsible for operations and development across 95 participating countries. He collaborates with senior management to expand the organization internationally. They stated claims that Nawat is merely a National License Holder are inaccurate regarding the organization's facts.
Monil Hathi is identified as Managing Director – Miss Universe Organization, appointed by board resolutions and company registration documents, and is an authorized signatory for entities such as JKN Legacy, Inc. and JKN Universe LLC. Meanwhile, Pavan Misra serves as Director of Broadcast and Sales, overseeing broadcast rights, sponsorships, online voting, host country cooperation, and commercial activities for the 75th Miss Universe pageant.
The statement also detailed a 50-50 shareholding structure. According to shareholder agreements, operational agreements, and board resolutions, ownership and operational authority are equally divided between two parties with full legal rights. The organization continues preparations for the 75th Miss Universe, with operations, contest schedules, and international cooperation proceeding normally.
Amid the ongoing drama, Nawat posted on his Instagram story with a black background the message: "The truth is one and only one."
