After multiple disputes arose concerning various issues in the competition, "Miss Universe 2026", a new shock has hit the global pageant industry, startling fans worldwide upon seeing a statement from the Miss Universe Organization (MUO). JKN Universe LLC issued an urgent statement clarifying the status of national pageant licensing rights and announcing plans to take civil and criminal legal action against those spreading damaging false information.
The statement claims that Miss Universe Eastern Pte. Ltd., led by CEO Nawat Itsaragrisil, has no authority to issue licenses or grant rights to operate the Miss Universe brand in any country.
The document, issued by JKN Universe LLC, states that it is the legal rights holder authorized to license the Miss Universe name and brand, and it does not recognize any franchise agreements made through Miss Universe Eastern or related persons and companies linked to Nawat, rendering those contracts and appointments void and legally ineffective.
The Miss Universe Organization also expressed regret in announcing that due to these issues and the absence of valid contractual frameworks, contestants representing these six countries are officially disqualified from participating in the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico.
Additionally, the document references Miss Universe Eastern Pte. Ltd. and Mr. Monil R. Hathi, with the organization denying and condemning the unauthorized release of internal or financial information circulated on social media without legal standing. MUO affirmed it will take all legal measures to protect the brand’s reputation and credibility.
This development has left many pageant fans anxiously wondering whether “Tarinah Botes,” Thailand’s representative, will be barred from competing in the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico.
