Thailand now has its very own Ahn Hyo-seop, following the arrival of the multi-talented young leading man. Ahn Hyo-seop The star of popular series like Dr.Romantic 3 and Business Proposal recently checked in to Thailand a few days ago.
And this event Ahn Hyo-seop swept the hearts of Thai fans completely at the “Fan Meeting 2023 Ahn Hyo Seop Asia Tour
This was Ahn Hyo-seop’s first fan meeting in Thailand, organized by Feoh Co., Ltd., in collaboration with his Korean agency, The Present Company, bringing the handsome star to meet his Thai fans.
Thairath Online Entertainment had the opportunity to interview Ahn Hyo-seop about his first visit to Thailand, what he wanted to do during this trip, and to ask about his acting secrets.
For Thai fans, the wait ended when Ahn Hyo-seop chose Thailand as one of his Asia tour stops. Upon arriving here for the first time, we asked how he felt about the country, and he replied,
"This is my first time in Thailand. I arrived last night and was really surprised. The city is very beautiful, and the hotel is also great. Looking outside, I saw so many lights—it’s really beautiful."
Since he came to Thailand, we asked if there were places he wanted to visit, and the star answered,
"Whenever I get a chance to go abroad, food is always the first thing I think about. So, I want to go to a night market and try many kinds of Thai food."
"Actually, I often eat Thai food in Korea, especially Pad Thai. But I’m curious about the authentic taste here in Thailand and want to try it."
Before continuing the interview, we played a quick question-and-answer game with Ahn Hyo-seop to see which Thai dishes, destinations, or activities he wanted to try. Let’s find out if we guessed right.
Ahn Hyo-seop chose Pad Thai because he wants to try the authentic flavor in Thailand.
He picked Spicy Pork Bone Soup since he prefers clear soups over red ones.
He chose Papaya Salad because sometimes he is allergic to seafood, so he preferred Som Tam.
Ahn Hyo-seop picked Mango Sticky Rice and asked why people eat it that way (smiling). He said he often drinks watermelon smoothies, so he wanted to try Mango Sticky Rice to see how it tastes.
Faced with this choice, he said he wanted to try riding a tuk-tuk because riding an elephant might be too heavy (smiling). Also, tuk-tuks are probably faster and open, letting him enjoy the scenery as he goes.
When asked about tourist spots, he hesitated because both are beautiful. Finally, he chose waterfalls, saying, "Normally I love the sea, but lately I’ve been drawn to places with pools of water, so I prefer waterfalls."
How many answers did Thai fans guess correctly?
Ahn Hyo-seop is gaining recognition for his growing acting skills. We asked him about his secrets for daily self-improvement, and he replied,
"Honestly, I don’t have any particular secret. I just feel like I’m not good enough yet and need to keep studying. I’m not fully satisfied with my acting and want to keep developing and learning."
As his fame rises and he wins awards like Best New Actor, we asked if he feels pressured when choosing roles. He answered,
"I don’t feel pressured. When selecting roles, I see if the script makes my heart beat or tremble. If it doesn’t move me, I won’t accept the part."
This being his first Asia tour stop in Thailand, we asked how he felt. Ahn Hyo-seop smiled warmly and said,
"At first, I didn’t really feel it was real because for the past 3-4 years I’ve been busy on set in Korea, waiting for this moment. When I arrived at the airport and briefly met fans, I realized it was really happening. I’m very excited to have fun together at the fan meeting."
He added, "At first it was a secret, but I guess it’s not anymore since the event is tomorrow. I’ll even have a dance show (smiling)."
To close our conversation, we asked Ahn Hyo-seop to leave a message for Thai fans. With a warm smile, he said,
"This is a moment I’ve waited for a long time. I really want to meet everyone. I’m so happy this day has finally come. I hope we can meet and have fun chatting. It will be a day full of love, and I want to repay the love and support fans have always given me. Thank you so much."
This first fan meeting of Ahn Hyo-seop and his Thai fans was full of fun and unforgettable moments. Thai fans look forward to welcoming him back to Thailand again.
