Champion Chanathip opens up about his fierce fight for his mother who is undergoing chemotherapy, declaring, "A son is always ready to fulfill his duties," after being stiffed on a huge 11 million baht debt. He reveals the debtor paid only a few hundred thousand baht before disappearing. Currently, the debtor is behind bars, but the debt remains unresolved.
Champion Chanathip discussed this issue with Thairath Entertainment, saying, "Regarding the debt, I haven't received any repayment yet. He paid only one installment and then vanished. The amount now stands at about exactly 11 million baht, down from over 11 million. The debtor is currently in prison. We're now consulting with a lawyer and trying every possible way to get the money back. Legally, we will have to file to seize assets. It's been almost two years now. My mother is undergoing chemotherapy—six rounds—and her spirits are good." "A son is always ready to fulfill his duties."
When I'm free from filming, I look for activities to do, like hiking. Sammy enjoys finding places for us to go. She picks the spots. We avoid the very tough trails; this one was actually quite easy.
For Valentine's Day, I took Sammy to a wilderness survival course. There are schools that teach how to explore the forest safely, respecting nature and traveling properly. I had the chance to create content from this, so we celebrated Valentine’s Day in the forest where Sammy grew up. I really love her. Maybe she's used to it by now (laughs). She hits me, not the other way around. I’m like a one-sided punching bag, so please be understanding. As for marriage, I want to save money first. Our relationship is still very sweet."
