Nai The Comedian told Thairath Entertainment that he visited Neng Meng Jai before his death and learned that the senior comedian was suffering from terminal liver cancer. He stayed until 4 a.m. before leaving, and at 8 a.m., Neng's wife called to inform him thatNeng had passed away.Nai The Comedian also revealed the last words he spoke with Neng Meng Jai before going home.
“Before I left, I talked to him, ‘Keep fighting, brother. You told me you’d come with me, right? You said you wanted to go to a concert. Didn’t you say you wanted to sing with me? We still haven’t recorded a duet.’ I whispered to him, and he responded with soft sounds like 'uh-huh,' 'yeah,' and 'hmm.' Whatever I said, he just murmured in agreement.
I stayed until 4 a.m. Then, at 7 a.m., Neng’s wife called to say his heart had failed, and she called again at 8:20 a.m. to say he had passed.
It was so heartbreaking. We were still talking. I saw his posts and called him to ask how the event was going. We still had plans to do things together. We talked about if he took a concert gig, he wanted to join my band. He said he didn’t have a band and wanted to come with mine. ‘Let’s make music together,’ he said. He was still chatting with me like normal. I never sensed that he was about to leave.”
