At 11:00 a.m. on 3 March 2026, the Pathum Thani joint radio center received a fire report. A fire had broken out. At a residence in a village in Khlong Chet Subdistrict, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province, fire officials from the municipality and nearby subdistrict administration organizations, along with volunteers from the Pathum Thani Foundation, quickly responded to assess and control the situation.
The scene was a two-story detached house covering about 100 square wah, belonging to a former famous comedian. See Noom Chernyim. He is the father of. Jeab Chernyim. and Jack Chernyim. The fire heavily engulfed the second floor, especially the bedroom and prayer room, causing extensive damage to belongings and furniture. Thick black smoke filled the area. The initial cause is suspected to be an electrical short circuit.
Upon hearing the news, Jeab Chernyim immediately drove from his noodle shop near Khlong Si to the house in Khlong Chet. He admitted that while driving he was almost in shock, only praying that his mother and younger brother living inside were safe. Upon arrival and finding everyone unharmed, he felt immense relief.
Although the fire severely damaged the prayer room, the family was surprised that the Buddha statue remained completely unharmed. Jeab also expressed gratitude to neighbors and nearby construction workers who helped spray water to contain the fire before the fire trucks arrived. Without their prompt assistance, the damage could have been much worse. Officials will continue to investigate the exact cause.
