Most recently, on 22 Mar 2026, Jazz Chuancheun appeared again at Neng Mengjai's funeral rites and spoke to reporters about the issue, saying that on that day he had just finished exercising and had a work meeting afterwards. Time was tight, and he feared being late for the water-pouring ceremony, so he quickly put on the clothes at hand. He confirmed he does not intend to make excuses and accepts all criticism, as he knows proper decorum. Whenever he must pay respects to the Buddha, he always removes his hat.
