Many people on social media have praised the diligence and strong endurance of Doo Dok Kradon. After photos surfaced of him standing and selling seaweed at a market in the Ram Inthra area, on 19 Apr 2026, Thairath Entertainment news team had the opportunity to visit and interview Doo Dok.
What is the background of selling seaweed?
Doo Dok said: "I've thought about trading for a long time. I used to sell noodles and run a restaurant. After that, I switched to selling seaweed because I once went to Japan. When I returned to Thailand, I got the idea to sell seaweed. I feel my acting career has been declining. I've been selling for over 10 years. On days I have filming, I can't come. Importantly, the market owner sympathizes with me and doesn't charge any rent. Staying at home is lonely, so I decided to come out and sell."
Are you very healthy?
Doo Dok said: "Still healthy, no chronic illnesses at all—no high blood pressure or diabetes. Now I'm 77. The lottery came up (laughs). My house number is also 77, but I didn't buy a ticket (laughs)."
Some people see you as down and out?
Doo Dok said: "That's outdated. I don't want people to think I'm down and out. Whether famous or not, everyone’s life has its ups and downs. The world has changed. I sell because I’m lonely. Staying at home does nothing. Many people have become billionaires by selling things."
What about work in the entertainment industry?
Doo Dok said: "Actually, I’m very thankful to Uncle Mam. He often reaches out to help, inviting me to act in films or appear on shows. Even just a few scenes help ease loneliness. To all producers, I’m ready to play any role. I really miss acting a lot."
