This is another inspiring story for many families, featuring a new mother. "May Pitchanart" who recently shared her personal experience on Instagram. @maypitchy about her journey trying to have a child over the past two years.
She posted a video recounting her story from the very first day of planning for a baby, sharing various methods she tried, including seriously taking care of her health, consulting specialized doctors, and visiting many sacred places to pray for blessings, boosting her and her family's morale.
The new mother also revealed that the process was not easy, requiring great patience and emotional strength, but she never gave up and took the best care of herself until finally receiving the joyful news she had hoped for.
Many friends from the entertainment industry and netizens joined in congratulating and praising her strength for bravely sharing her real experience to encourage couples or women over 40 facing difficulties conceiving.
What efforts did May make over those two years?
- May consulted with four top doctors in total.
- She underwent egg retrieval (ICSI) 11 times.
- She had insemination (IUI) done 4–5 times.
- She took Chinese medicine for one year.
- She prayed for a child countless times! (Even now, she’s not sure which deity granted her wish.)
- She played with her nieces and nephews (as they say, playing with nieces and nephews often helps a child come).
She still plans to buy a dog and a cat to raise, but hasn't done so yet.
After heavy disappointment in the first year, her husband took her on a relaxing trip to help her feel better.
In the second year, she renewed her efforts without rushing egg retrieval, focusing on restoring her body. She started seeing a traditional Chinese medicine doctor (Dr. Mint at Hua Chiew Chinese Medical Clinic), took Chinese herbs, changed bad habits by eating less sweets, going to bed earlier, finding stress-free activities, exercising lightly, and checked her hormones monthly. She avoided egg retrieval during months with poor hormone levels. After about six months of herbal treatment and lifestyle changes, her hormone levels improved significantly. She then resumed egg retrieval for rounds 10 and 11, obtaining high-quality embryos that passed chromosomal screening, and finally succeeded with a single embryo transfer! (Dr. Somjet at Jetanin Hospital)
She concluded her post with a message of encouragement for everyone trying to conceive, urging them not to give up and to believe that good news will come one day, just as it did for her.
"I hope my post will be helpful for everyone struggling to have children and all women trying to conceive. Take good care of your physical and mental health. When everything is ready and the time is right, the child will come easily. If I could do it, anyone can do it. Keep fighting, everyone!"
