The actress explained the origin of this decision: it was actually her mother who was determined to look beautiful, as many women wish to appear younger and more attractive. Like many mothers, as she aged, her face began to sag and lose firmness, so she wanted a facelift to tighten and rejuvenate her appearance.
After deciding to send her mother for surgery, Mint jokingly invited her father to go with her mother, almost "forcing" him because since he would undergo surgery and recovery anyway, it would be better to have company.
