Thai-born singer Lisa, or Lalisa Manoban, has brought pride to Thailand once again by winning the Best Pop award at the 2026 MTV VMAs, a prestigious global stage, for her song Dream featuring Kentaro Sakaguchi. She also made history as the first Thai artist and the first and only K-POP artist in 42 years to receive the distinguished Best Pop award at this world-renowned event this year.
One of the most touching moments came when Lisa took the stage to accept her award, greeting the audience with "Hello, sawasdee ka" and thanking everyone through tears. Overwhelmed with joy, she said, "First of all, thank you MTV for this incredible award. Thanks to Kentaro Ali and Felii for helping me create this song, and for the nighttime dreams that brought me to this moment today. Thank you for the inspiration. Most importantly, thank you to my 'Lily'—I couldn’t have reached this point without all of you. Thank you so much for your love and support."
