Pat Suthasinee A talented singer and actress, she shared her firsthand experience after her home in the Lat Phrao area was affected by severe flooding that forced her to be stuck inside her home for two days, unable to leave. She admitted it was her first time experiencing such an event personally after living mostly in the United States. She revealed that although she was fortunate the water receded in time for her to perform in the final round of a stage play, the experience has left her uneasy whenever she hears heavy rain or thunder. She also sent her support to all victims and expressed a desire to help as much as possible if given the chance.
She is one of the entertainers who became a flood victim herself, recently sharing about the flooding situation at her home in the Lat Phrao area, which was heavily impacted and left her trapped inside for two days without being able to leave.
Pat explained that she has spent most of her life in the United States with her family and had never before faced such severe flooding firsthand. This was her first and most intense experience, having to stay inside while the water level rose high in the alley in front of her home.
"Fortunately, during the final round of my stage play work, the water began to recede, allowing me to travel to work. Although that day was quite chaotic, everything ultimately went well."
She also admitted that this experience made her fearful of rain, even though she was usually accustomed to rainy weather. This time, with heavy rain, thunder, and hail combined with the still high water levels, she feels uneasy and worried whenever she hears rain or thunder, fearing the water might rise further.
"The flooding was so severe that it made me afraid of rain for the first time, even though I’m usually used to it. With the thunder and hail that day and the water not receding, I feel uneasy whenever I hear thunder or heavy rain."
Having gone through this herself, she now better understands the feelings of flood victims, especially those still trapped with floodwaters inside their homes and many families who have lost property or suffered significant damage. Hearing reports that rain might continue until the 10th makes her even more concerned, as some areas have yet to see water levels drop.
She also shared that she had the chance to help pack supplies for flood victims at GMM, feeling glad to contribute even though she hasn’t yet been able to visit affected areas personally. She hopes to assist on-site if the opportunity arises.
"I feel happy that I can at least do something. If there’s anything I can do, I want to help. If I get the chance to go to the affected areas, I definitely want to."
She concluded by sending her support to all flood victims and hopes the flooding situation will improve soon. Having experienced it herself, she now clearly understands how severe and difficult it is for those suffering from the disaster.
