"Sai Saeng Adventure," together with "The Ghost Radio," held a gala premiere to close the year with the first horror film of the "Ghost Light" project, titled "Next Door." The event took place at the Infinity Plaza, Paragon Cineplex, 5th floor, immersing guests in the chilling atmosphere of an epic ghost story told over four years and four episodes, now adapted into a film. The movie is based on tales from "The Ghost Radio," directed by dark film specialist Khom Kongkiat Khomsiri. This marks the first collaboration of three talents: Alek Teeradetch Methawarayut, Kochabel Sarunrat Phuekpipat, and Boki Lion Nichchata Weerasutthimas, alongside Yu Katanyu Sawangsri, Wit Patcharaphon Jantieng, Oh Hai Sasathorn Buain, Most Wisarut Himrat, Wiyada Umarin, Noon Panisa Udomruangkit, and Fai Rujaree Jiradechakul.
The event opened with a red carpet parade led by two executives: Mr. Chaiwat Mingmai, CEO of Sai Saeng Adventure Co., Ltd., accompanied by Mr. Jack The Ghost, Managing Director of The Ghost Radio Co., Ltd. Following them were cast members Wit Patcharaphon, Oh Hai Sasathorn, Most Wisarut, Mae Um Wiyada, Noon Panisa, and Fai Rujaree. The red carpet concluded with lead actors Alek Teeradetch, Kochabel Sarunrat, Boki Lion, and director Khom Kongkiat. The program continued with a special feature highlighting "the first official horror film adaptation in Thailand" from the well-known stories of "The Ghost Radio." This was followed by an intense behind-the-scenes segment revealing never-before-shared strange incidents on set, including moments where the crew and cast admitted they "could not explain" the occurrences, heightening the eerie atmosphere.
Before the special performance by Boki Lion singing "Little Bird," the theme song of "Next Door," the event was officially opened by the "Ghost Light" executives, Mr. Chaiwat and Mr. Jack The Ghost. The director and cast then took the stage to share their experiences and challenges faced during the production. The event concluded with a group photo session featuring Mr. Chaiwat Mingmai, Mr. Jack The Ghost, Mr. Vichai Kulthavatchai, Marketing Director of Major Cineplex Group Public Company Limited, the director, and the cast, followed by a collective viewing of the film.
"Next Door" tells the story of a "mad ghost" clashing with "angry humans." When Win (played by Alek Teeradetch) and his wife Pat (Kochabel Sarunrat) move into their dream home, it turns into a nightmare because the neighbor isn’t human. When the ghost refuses to let go and the people refuse to back down, the battle cry is clear: "My house, my rules!"
Prepare yourself and your heart to watch "Next Door," premiering in theaters near you on 4 December.
