Prepare to step into a new chapter of love for “Wanthong,” who this time refuses to be recorded in history as "two-hearted." The first film from Black Dragon Entertainment, "The Miracle of Wanthong," a Thai blockbuster for 2026, has released its initial trailer. Directed by Luk Leaf Love! (Muk-Piyakan Butprasert) and produced by Julian Jeong, CEO of Black Dragon Entertainment (known for Parasite, Snowpiercer, The Admiral: Roaring Currents, and The Host), the trailer showcases their vision and craftsmanship.
The first trailer reveals the initial meeting of the era’s famous singer Ink-Waruntorn Paonil as “Wanthong,” alongside two leading men: Mark-Parin Supparat as “Khun Phaen” and Gulf-Kanawut Traipipattanapong as “Khun Chang.” Also featured are Primmy-Wipavee Patnasiri as “Sai Thong” and Fay-Phat Ekasangkul as “Jan Son.” The trailer highlights grand production blending contemporary elements, thrilling and spectacular visual effects, and striking transformations of the actors in roles never before seen by audiences.
"The Miracle of Wanthong" tells the time-traveling adventure of Pim-Ma, a modern woman who finds herself trapped in the toxic love vortex of the legendary "Lady Wanthong," who in literary history faces execution due to the two men she loves, Khun Phaen and Khun Chang. Why must she alone bear this fate? Pim-Ma aims to rewrite Wanthong’s destiny with her own mind and heart to survive and escape this disgraceful fate.
Muk-Piyakan said, “After finishing the 'Luk Leaf Love!' project, the studio approached me about the Wanthong project and mentioned working with Julian Jeong. My eyes lit up immediately because Julian is internationally acclaimed and had seen our work in theaters. He analyzed it and thought we were right for this project, which led to us reading many versions of 'Khun Chang Khun Phaen' by different writers. We saw quite different perspectives and I realized I still had messages to share. It felt like a great opportunity to continue the message we started in 'Luk Leaf Love!'”
