Neramit Film, together with Chai Saeng Adventure, has released the first trailer for the action-thriller movie "Omukade," which opens the story of a legendary giant centipede demon that hunts and kills invaders. The film is directed by Puean-Pakpoom Wongjinda alongside visual effects specialist director Toey-Chalit Kraileutmongkol from Fatcat Studios.
The first trailer of "Omukade" reveals the brutality and danger of the legendary demon ready to attack any intruder in its territory in various forms. It also introduces the lead cast: Nyda Narilaya Kulmongkolphet as Sanor; skilled Burmese actor Daung as Renja; Thai-Japanese national hockey player Hideki Nakayama as Akira; and famous Japanese influencer Ryota Moiser as Tamura.
"Omukade" tells a story set during World War II, which caused massive destruction and loss of life, but also awakened legendary beasts ready to destroy the invaders. The enemies fighting on the battlefield must now unite to survive against the monster "Omukade."
Pakpoom shared about the project: "The story originated from demon legends. Toey and I like monster movies and wanted to create a monster film with a foreign myth. Since Japan has many such legends, I found a yokai called 'Omukade,' a centipede that can transform into multiple forms—sometimes a giant centipede, other times a human-like shape. It can be anything, so I wanted to create a monster with a unique identity."
Toey added, "When I heard Puean's idea, I felt that developing this monster would be really fun. Puean specializes in directing horror monster films, so we collaborated. I focus on design and visual effects, striving to make this giant centipede look as dangerous and terrifying as possible."
