"Next Door" is the highest-grossing Thai film, holding the top spot for two weeks. This year-end thriller is the debut project of "Ghost Light," a collaboration between "Chai Saeng Adventure" and "The Ghost Radio." It stars Alec Teeradetch Methawarayut, Kotchbel Saranratch Phueakphipat, and Bokeh Lion Nichchada Weerasuthimas, alongside Yu-Kattanyu Suangsri, Wit-Pacharapol Chantieng, Ohhai-Sasathorn Buain, Most-Wisarut Himrat, Wiyada Umarin, Noon-Panisa Udomruangkiat, and Fai-Rujaravee Jiradechakul. Directed by Khom Kongkiat Khomsiri, the skilled lead actor Alec Teeradetch is delighted that his first horror film has earned 80 million baht and is now aiming for 100 million.
Alec Teeradetch said, "I'm happy. Many people liked it, which guarantees that our film resonates with audiences. I tend to be critical when watching movies, noticing inconsistencies or unreasonable elements, and if a film has many flaws, I don't enjoy it. But in 'Next Door,' the characters' actions are logical. We felt it wasn't an ordinary horror movie but a quality horror drama. When doing roadshows at cinemas, I try to ask fans if they have any questions because the original story people heard lasted four hours, but the film is only two hours. Some might wonder about certain parts, as there may be easter eggs or subtle feelings hidden in our expressions."
"Most fans like that the ghosts appear early on and continuously, without a long setup. It's not just a horror film that scares through atmosphere alone but one that entertains with a true haunted house feel, keeping audiences alert throughout. This experience is unique to theaters, with the film’s sound and friends getting startled together, which differs from streaming at home. Regarding reaching 100 million baht, honestly, I focus more on the reactions when meeting fans. When people ask me if they saw 'Brother Win' and if he was really in the house, these moments feel like success in acting. Of course, high box office confirms the work and makes me proud. I look forward to seeing if we meet expectations. Have I acted in a 100-million-baht film before? Yes, but not as a lead like this time. This time, as a full lead actor, it feels like winning a trophy to keep at home," Alec said.
