Atom Opens Up to Acting for the First Time!! Ready to Take on Role of HR in New Employee (Please Consider)

Stepping into one of the most challenging roles of his life, Atom Chanakan Ratanudom makes his film acting debut in 'New Employee (Please Consider) HUMAN RESOURCE,' produced by GDH in collaboration with One Cool Connect and JAI Studios. This latest work is directed by Taew Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit and co-produced by CD Patcharin Surawattanapong. The film stars quality actors including Aung Aey Prapamontol Iamchan, Phet Paophet Jaroensuk, and Pimma PiXXiE Pimmada Jaisaksern. The film invites new employees simultaneously into cinemas.

Atom plays 'Ten,' an HR officer at an office who partners with Aung Aey, playing 'Fren.' Together, they live through interviewing and observing many new employees. For this role, director Taew Nawapol sought a character who is idealistic yet understands reality and can endure some discomfort. He looked for specific ways of speaking and thinking. When Atom auditioned, it revealed a quieter side of him, a performance unlike his real persona that left a strong impression.

Atom said, "New Employee (Please Consider) HUMAN RESOURCE is a very interesting project. I had never acted in a film before, only in my own music videos. Auditioning for a film was a new experience that felt exciting, so I decided to try. As someone who has followed director Taew's work, I see his signature sharp dialogue, wit, satire, and unique dark humor. Reading the script and seeing it on the big screen, it felt even more intense than I expected. I'm very happy to be part of this project and witness Taew's growth through this film. This is the most serious acting I've done in my life, and the first time I discovered I could do it. Taew is a trusting director who supports actors, guiding them from a distance and giving space to explore their emotions, making difficult scenes feel comfortable to perform."

In this film, I play Ten, an HR officer and colleague and confidant of Fren. His role is to select people to work in an organization full of pressure and conflict. Because HR work requires a high level of humanity, managing relationships, emotions, and the lives of employees. In the story, Ten is straightforward, brave enough to speak his mind, and not concerned with pleasing everyone in the organization. This character expresses himself a lot, especially through facial expressions and eyes, similar to the mood I have when writing songs or being alone, which differs from my singer mode where I project a bright side to entertain the audience.

One location that impressed me greatly during filming was the interview room, a place I had never experienced before. It felt as pressuring as waiting for a decision in a singing contest, but being on the interviewer’s side gave a different feeling. Acting in this film opened my world, showing me perspectives I never knew and the life of salaried workers. I want to tell viewers that if you are about to enter the world of this film, you might meet friends or people who think like you, in matters you may not dare to say aloud. This film speaks for those thoughts and might match the voice inside your head."

‘New Employee (Please Consider) HUMAN RESOURCE’ is now recruiting new employees simultaneously in cinemas.
