
“Ponglangsaon Film” is set to take audiences into the heartfelt story of workers far from home in "E-Lae Airy Korea Oppa," directed by “Eed Ponglangsaon,” who devoted over two years to crafting and directing his first feature film. The movie stars Snack-Ajaree Srisuk (Miss Grand Loei 2023), famous Korean influencer Il Hong Min, alongside comedy influencer Mamoung-Sittidej Bummanee, superstar comedian Mum Jokmok, Prae-Praepetch Udomsartporn, Lala-Khwannapha Ruangsri, Bell Pathumrat, and Lulu-Duangrudee Boonbumrung. The gala premiere was held at the Infinity Lawn, Paragon Cineplex, 5th floor, ahead of the official release on 26 March.
The event was lively and bustling with honored guests and entertainment figures attending to offer congratulations, including Film-Rattapoom Tokongsap, Weerapong Wongsin, Bossjo-Saonoy Petch Banpaeng, Phet Saharat, Brian Jokeiscream, Nook-Thanadon Siriwaew, Paipai Oreo, Kru Toe-Apiwat Boonenak, Baetoy-Sutiwan Thawisin, Tanya Rsiam, Toffee Sambathasip, and DJ Phum Tangsanga.
The event began with host Chompoo Kornbai (Thansita Suwatcharathankit) welcoming the guests in an atmosphere reminiscent of being on a plane preparing to land in Busan, promising cross-border laughter. The cast was introduced on a lively red carpet, followed by a screening of the movie trailer. Then came the film’s theme song “Hug E-Li Der” performed by the lead actress, Snack Ajaree. Afterwards, two men, P’Hong and Joke IScream, sang the viral hit "Sakikun." The program concluded with Ha Jung and Park Young Jin performing a touching ballad titled "I Am a Firefly."
Next, the director and lead actors discussed their experience filming in Busan, South Korea, with a crew of over 30 people. The event ended with executives including Adisak Lertpanya, CEO of Handuro (Thailand) Co., Ltd.; Monthicha Gulati and Tevan Madan from Ocean Clean Supply Co., Ltd.; Jirayu Sangdarat from Startup Marketing Co., Ltd.; Kitti Laksanga from Phoenix 2168 Co., Ltd. as producers from Gem Star; and Wichai Kulthawatchai, Marketing Director of Major Cineplex Group Public Company Limited, joining the stage for a commemorative photo.
"E-Lae Airy Korea Oppa" tells the story of Pui (Snack Ajaree), a female truck singer and family pillar whose life falls apart after being kicked out of her band, dumped by her boyfriend, and overwhelmed by debt. She decides to travel to Korea with her close friend Lisa (Mamoung-Sittidej) seeking a way out. Pui works tirelessly day and night to pay off her family’s debts, but faces many obstacles along the way. In her loneliness, she meets handsome Korean customer Hong (Il Hong Min). His smile and kindness give her the strength to keep fighting. However, fate plays another cruel trick when Pui and Hong must confront an unavoidable truth. Ultimately, Hong must choose between "duty" and "heart." What will he decide?
