The Convenience Store: It’s Hiding Inside Unravels the Haunting Mystery in a Convenience Store

Convenience stores are familiar places for many, whether on the way home, during lunch breaks, or on nights when the city is nearly silent. However, this familiarity began to take on a different meaning during the media screening of "The Convenience Store: It’s Hiding Inside" hosted by "Sayan Saeng Adventure," which took audiences on a late-night shift experience to feel a new dimension of horror amid an atmosphere of silence and subtle abnormalities that gradually grew into an unsuspected sense of paranoia.

A highlight after clocking in for the late-night media screening of "The Convenience Store: It’s Hiding Inside" at Paragon Cineplex was the Thai voice cast led by Pang zbing z. - Nairat Thanwaitkoses, joined by Rata Chinkrajangkit, Manmuk Chodatharn, and Tee Rattanachai, who shared their chilling experiences on stage. Special guests from an idol gamer group also joined to experience the "late-night" shift together.

"The Convenience Store: It’s Hiding Inside" debuted strongly in its first week in Japan, ranking among the top six most-watched new releases. Based on a horror game that many players hesitated to continue, this full-length horror film is an indie Japanese studio Chilla's Art production and the first game adapted into a J-Horror movie. Directed by Nagase Jiro, known for Kisaragi Station and Tomodachi Game, the film tells a chilling story close to everyday life about Tazuru Yukino, played by Minami Kotona, a young clerk working alone during the quietest late-night shift at a convenience store. The arrival of four mysterious memory cards sent to the store triggers strange changes. Nobody knows who sent them or what they contain, but afterwards, nothing in the store remains the same.

Experience the haunting side of familiarity in "The Convenience Store: It’s Hiding Inside," opening in theaters on 9 April.
