M STUDIO, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture through the Department of Cultural Promotion and the Ministry of Commerce, continues to promote the Thai film industry on the global stage at the 79th Cannes International Film Festival (Cannes Film Festival 2026) in France. On 14 May 2026 at 16:30 local time, the cast and executives of the blockbuster film "Confession of the Shaman" officially participated in the Royal Audience event at the Cannes Film Festival's Film Market.
Leading the team was BamBam Kanpimuk Phuwakul, along with lead actors Alec Teeradetch Metawarayut and Denis Jeliilcha Kappoon, as well as director Ton Nattanon Chollumpi. They were joined by Surachet Asawareung-anant, Chief Executive Officer of M STUDIO, attending this important event aimed at promoting and advancing the Thai film industry to the global market.
This participation at the Cannes Film Festival not only serves to publicize "Confession of the Shaman" internationally but also reflects the growth trajectory of the Thai film industry as it moves earnestly into the global market through collaboration between the government and private sector to promote Thai Soft Power.
During the event, the "Confession of the Shaman" film team had the opportunity to present their Thai film project to distinguished guests and key figures from the international film industry, attracting interest from the global media and attendees. Particularly notable was BamBam's appearance as a cameo actor, which remained one of the most closely watched highlights of this year's festival.
Later, from 18:00 to 21:00 local time in France, the cast and executives from M STUDIO participated in "Thai Night," an event held to celebrate Thai entertainment and culture in Cannes. They took part in stage activities as representatives of Thai cinema currently gaining international attention.
