Choosing true love or mere fate is not just Wan Thong's choice—it’s a life gamble nearly every woman must face! Black Dragon Entertainment will elevate this legendary love triangle epic to a new level, exploring character dimensions and interpretations never before experienced by audiences, all within a spectacular production scale. They unite four wonders that fuse into one of the year's unmissable Thai films.
The team behind “The Miracle of New Wan Thong” is led by Julian Jong, a top Korean producer behind global blockbusters like Snowpiercer and The Host, alongside Muk Piyakan Butprasert, director of the romantic comedy Long Live Love, which provocatively questioned modern relationships and sparked strong word-of-mouth among young audiences. Together, they promise to present Wan Thong's world on an unprecedented scale.
“The Miracle Cast” features a dream ensemble: Ink Waruntorn, the princess of T-pop, makes her full-fledged film lead debut as Wan Thong Waruntorn. Joining her are two accomplished leading men—Mark Prin portraying a fully dimensional new version of Khun Phaen, and Gulf Kanawut as Khun Chang, who breaks every previous stereotype of this character. Adding to the fun are Fei Phat in the role of the bandit Jonson and Primmy Wipavee as Saithong.
“The Miracle Imagination” transforms the visual world of Wan Thong. The director and team infused imagination to make “The Miracle of Wan Thong” a wondrous journey into a new world of familiar tales. They blend classic literary beauty with dazzling fantasy visuals—from Wan Thong’s residence to the Himmapan forest and the spectacular battle scenes between Khun Phaen and Khun Chang. Renowned artist Nakrob Moolmanus oversees production, teaming with talented cinematographer Sibarn Narupol Chokkanapit from The Medium, costume designer Gigi Kitcha Lapho, known for Buppesannivas, plus CG teams from Thailand led by supervisor Thananchanok Suban Na Ayutthaya (Buppesannivas), collaborating with Korean CG artists.
“The Miracle of New Vision on Love” reinvents Wan Thong's fate with the heart of a new generation. Screenwriter Gook Thanida, known for War of Deliveries and Bad Genius, crafts the screenplay for “The Miracle of Wan Thong,” portraying the love and relationships among Wan Thong, Khun Phaen, and Khun Chang through the perspective of today’s youth. Unlike past versions set in Ayutthaya’s social context, it reflects a woman’s refusal to surrender to judgment and her choice to fight for her own destiny through an exciting adventure.
Prepare to open the door and experience the film “The Miracle of Wan Thong” together starting 3 September in theaters nationwide.
