Another Thai horror film quietly developed since early this year, "Midnight Incense" 00:00 Midnight Incense, was recently selected as the opening premiere at the "Thai Film Festival in Vietnam 2026" in Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This marks an important milestone in promoting Thai content and film industry growth aligned with the proactive goals of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, in expanding into the ASEAN market. The premiere created a huge buzz among viewers, who highly praised the film’s mysterious and well-rounded horror, following the actors' performances with bated breath to the point of nearly holding their breath, some even expressing a desire to watch it again.
Behind the film is the dedication of director Gapper-Worarit Ninklom, who aimed to present a fresh perspective on suspense, alongside a cast of emerging actors including Sincere Sathida Sripromma, P-Aekpop Tata, and Ryu Inkrat Damrongsakkul. Each actor devoted themselves fully to conveying the emotions to create this work with great care. A representative of the cast said, "For us, having this film chosen as the opening feature in Ho Chi Minh City and receiving such warm praise is a tremendous honor. We are proud to be part of showcasing Thai talent to ASEAN audiences. We intend to be a small but vital part in presenting Thailand’s Soft Power through film as best as we can."

The Thai Film Festival in Vietnam 2026 was grandly held at the Vinpearl Landmark 81 Hotel, Autograph Collection, and the CGV Vincom Center cinemas in Landmark 81 Tower, a world-renowned landmark in Ho Chi Minh City. The event was led by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, which announced a major readiness to penetrate the content and film industry market within the ASEAN region.
