She keeps courting, but he can’t remember; so how many chances will they have at love? GDH, in collaboration with Sony Pictures International Productions, has revealed the first set of images and synopsis of “HENRY’s First Dates: Love Again, Henry Can’t Remember,” a family romantic comedy adapted from the legendary love story 50 First Dates. It offers a fresh perspective with “Henry” as the one who wakes up each day with his memories reset. Directed by Mes Tharatorn and produced by Wan Wannarudee Pongsitisak and Mes Tharatorn, co-produced by Sui Suwimon Techasupinan, the film delivers feel-good moments through the first image set showcasing the tender chemistry of the lead couple and the warm, humorous atmosphere of Henry’s family.
The first date is a magic moment to remember—except for Henry. “Henry” (Nadech Kugimiya), owner of a small hotel in the south, handsome and cheerful, suffers from a strange condition: his brain resets every night, so upon waking, he cannot recall the previous day’s events!
“Lucy” (Minnie Nicha Yontararak) is a hot air balloon captain who travels worldwide searching for new routes, but her heart falls for Henry, the man who wakes up unable to remember her! Each day for Henry and Lucy means courting all over again, while Pa Kanun, Na Su (Pa Kigg, Ble-Patumrach, Vivian-Thipakorn) watch over and sometimes disrupt their relationship. And then there’s “Simba,” the family’s coconut dog who knows everything but can’t speak—otherwise the movie would end in 10 minutes. Watch Henry’s first date, Lucy’s hundredth, and root for them to finally succeed in their repeated courtships.
Watch the repeated courtship together in “HENRY’s First Dates: Love Again, Henry Can’t Remember,” in cinemas nationwide on 17 September.
