After warming up with four Cover Project songs, JAOKHUN (Chakrapat Wattanasin) has officially launched his first single under his new label Sony Music Thailand with the song “Gifted (แสนวิเศษ) Ft. BLVCKHEART,” a track that clearly reflects his identity as an artist.
JAOKHUN revealed that the song originated while he was playing guitar chords with BLVCKHEART. Initially a slow song, it gradually evolved into a brighter, more fun, and playful rhythm, eventually becoming the completed version of “Gifted (แสนวิเศษ).”
Regarding the song’s meaning, “Gifted” symbolizes a special person akin to a “precious and wonderful gift” who fills one’s life. At the same time, it represents the “gift” JAOKHUN intends to offer his fans as a token of gratitude for their continued love and support. The song serves as a heartfelt message that JAOKHUN hopes will resonate widely and become a meaningful, unifying piece for his audience.
Musically, “Gifted (แสนวิเศษ)” is a Bedroom Pop track with a lively, bright, and playful beat, perfectly blended with rock influences. It is the work JAOKHUN has been most involved in, contributing to the lyrics, melody, and overall direction, making it the most authentic reflection of his artistic self to date. The song was produced by nonchawich (Naw of the band Mirrr), marking their first collaboration.
“Gifted (แสนวิเศษ) Ft. BLVCKHEART” also clearly reflects JAOKHUN’s growth as an artist. He compares this work to “white,” full of brightness, contrasting with another darker-toned song he made with BLVCKHEART, likened to “black.” This contrast highlights JAOKHUN’s intention to experiment, learn, and collaborate with diverse producers, which is distinctly expressed through this song.
