"I don't know what 'true love' looks like, or where that person might be. Does anyone think like I do?" This is the story of waiting for true love in the new song "The One." The song is filled with deep, touching meaning, crafted by the talented songwriter Ben Chalathit, a powerful-voiced diva from Tero Music. It features a Soul Pop style with beautifully smooth melodies, produced by Pingpong from Soul After Six (Wisarut Thep Suphanphet), who also composed and arranged the track to express the feelings of someone patiently waiting for "true love." Despite repeated disappointments, the belief and hope remain to find someone ready to give their heart.
Ben Chalathit revealed, "I wrote the song 'The One' nearly 10 years ago but never had the chance to present it until now. I felt it was time to share it with everyone. The lyrics speak about waiting — not knowing how long it will take or when we will meet the one we're waiting for. Whether that person truly exists, when we will find them, or reflecting on past experiences of love and breakups. For anyone waiting for someone, I want to say life is yours until you meet the right person. When it's right, it is right; when it's not, it's just life experience. I collaborated with Pingpong (Soul After Six) as the producer and for the sound design in the Soul Pop style. He also helped with the melody and arrangement to make the song truly represent me. For the music video, we worked with the Sutun Production House team and renowned director Tong Tae-Thiti. The MV tells a story in a ROMANTIC BAD JOKE style — imperfect true love born from care and understanding. It’s about a roti vendor who falls for a karaoke girl who regularly buys his roti. He watches her every day and imagines them happily in love, despite all the challenges they face."
"In the end, his kindness turns his imagination into reality. I really like the MV and hope everyone enjoys it too. I hope this song resonates with those who are waiting for true love," he added.
