It must be admitted that Zom Marie from ME RECORDS is not only a queen of sad songs but also a highly creative songwriter who consistently surprises her fans. After releasing the single “Stop Loving” featuring Tah Wu Pithaya, which moved and shocked fans with its music video, she now returns with another quality song titled “Whose Representative.” She revealed the idea came from people often confusing her with others in the industry, sparking the feeling, “This is me, not someone else.” What started as a humorous thought developed into a serious concept.
“Whose Representative” is a sad yet easy-to-listen-to single blending synth-pop sounds. After Zom came up with the initial concept, she collaborated with her trusted songwriter partner, X Sakdithat, to expand the feelings into a song that not only reflects her personal experience but also connects with many people’s emotions. It tells the story of someone who wants to be loved for who they truly are, not because of resemblance or comparison to someone else.
Though the song’s lyrics are sad and filled with hurt, the behind-the-scenes process was full of fun. Producers Pokpong Jitdee and Earth Phattharavee managed the vocal production, ensuring every note was delivered with care. The music video features talented actor Gap Thanavet and four women who look alike! Besides Zom Marie and Jangjit (Punnasa Promyos), singer Praew Kanitkul and DJ Dao (Natthapatsorn Simasathien) join as secret characters adding excitement. To see how the story unfolds and just how similar they all look, the video is available now on Youtube at ZOMMARIE MUSIC.
