SPICYDISC has once again surprised the music scene by welcoming their latest artist, WAHNCAI, or Akir Wongseng. Many may recognize him from the show “Asa Pa Pai Long,” and now he is seriously pursuing his passion as a full-fledged artist. He debuts with the single "It's Time to Be Kind to Yourself," which expresses the feelings of someone wanting to take a break from life's chaos to embrace and listen to their own heart again. The song is produced by the talented Pakpong Jitdee (Plastic Plastic) and features a TRAVELLING POP style with distinctive 80s SYNTH POP influences, designed to evoke the emotions of every journey through lyrics that WAHNCAI carefully wrote to resonate with all situations people experience.
The music video stars the talented actor Fay - Phat Ekasangkul, who portrays a character still unable to move past a previous love. He decides to embark on a journey to find happiness and to love himself anew. Filming took place at Lake Baikal in Russia, capturing an atmosphere that invites viewers to travel along. The music video can be watched on SPICYDISC's YouTube channel, and the song is available on all streaming platforms.
WAHNCAI shared his feelings about this new journey with SPICYDISC: “Hello, I’m very excited and happy to be part of the Spicydisc family. My first single, ‘It’s Time to Be Kind to Yourself,’ was inspired by a trip to Japan where the cold weather made me find ways to keep warm. It made me reflect that sometimes self-love begins with simple acts like listening to your own heart. For the music video, since I love traveling, I proposed to the Spicydisc directors to shoot at Lake Baikal in Russia, the world’s deepest lake. During filming, the entire area was covered in ice with temperatures below -30 degrees Celsius. We had to endure the cold and harsh weather, which was quite challenging to produce the beautiful visuals you see. We also had ‘Fay’ join us to convey the emotions, and his performance truly resonated with me and the team. Finally, I’d like to introduce myself and my first song—hope everyone enjoys it.”
