Lively atmosphere! The Asia New Beat x Go on Ground Festival held its grand finale, featuring spectacular performances by popular indie bands.
The event was vibrant as the Asia New Beat x Go on Ground Festival grand finale brought together indie bands from Thailand and overseas, with anticipation to see which winners will be propelled onto the world music stage.
Asia New Beat, an Asian-level indie music competition, combined its grand finale with the Go on Ground Festival, organized by Star Nest Music Group and Cisumverse Technology, held on 21 March 2026 at JJ Hall, 6th floor, JJ Mall, Bangkok.
This year’s special feature was merging the Asia New Beat finale with the Go On Ground Festival, creating a new experience of live competition performances in front of real audiences, attracting over 5,000 attendees.
The event featured eight indie bands from four countries—Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, and Vietnam—performing on a single stage in a festival format to fully showcase their identity and musical potential. Additionally, the Thai organizer, The Time Traveler, invited six renowned Thai indie bands—Yellow Fang, Inspirative, The Darkest Romance, Flure, Desktop Error, and Solitude is Bliss—to add color to the same stage, giving emerging artists a chance to perform alongside professionals in a festival atmosphere.
After the grand finale, all contestants will enter the next phase on the Cisumverse platform, where each band must upload the competition songs for fans to vote via the application.
The final results will be announced on 30 April 2026, based on:
* Live stage performance (70%)
* Fan votes through the Cisumverse app (30%)
The first and second place winners will receive a total cash prize of up to US$15,000, along with an international promotion fund worth US$100,000 to support their advancement to the global music stage.
Zorro Xu (Xu Xiaofeng), Chairman of the competition committee, former Chairman of Warner Music China, and founder of Star Nest and Cisumverse, said,
“Asia New Beat is a platform to discover and develop indie artists across Asia. We believe that talented artists, if properly supported, can enter the global music industry.”
He also commented on the Thai artists participating, saying, “Thai indie artists have distinctive uniqueness, impressively blending local elements with global styles, and showcase highly creative performances.”
