Cool Jazz Trio BADBADNOTGOOD Ready to Meet Thai Fans on 16 July

The Canadian trio BadBadNotGood (BBNG), creators of fusion jazz beloved by fans for over 16 years, have confirmed their visit to Bangkok on 16 July 2026 at Samyan Mitrtown Hall. Tickets go on sale from 30 April at 12:00 PM onward via Thai Ticket Major.

BadBadNotGood formed from three music students at Humber College Jazz in Toronto: original members Alexander Sowinski (drums), Chester Hansen (bass), and Leland Whitty (guitar and woodwinds). The trio aimed to express jazz by connecting it with contemporary music, blending hip-hop and contemporary styles to create a smooth, cohesive sound.

Their latest album, Talk Memory, is their first release with XL Recordings. It is dedicated to the artists and musical foundations that shaped BadBadNotGood’s unique style. This work takes listeners back to the band’s origins, combining powerful improvisations that reflect their live performances. The group spent over two years meticulously recording in the studio, resulting in a deep, naturally powerful album.

Talk Memory showcases collaborations with talented artists from various generations and fields, including Arthur Verocai, Laraaji, Terrace Martin, Brandee Younger, and Karriem Riggins. This aligns with jazz’s spirit of sharing techniques and unique styles among musicians. It also reinforces BadBadNotGood’s philosophy that music is alive and constantly evolving.

BadBadNotGood Live in Bangkok promises a great concert to break every bad mood. Fusion jazz fans should not miss this highly recommended show. Tickets go on sale the day after tomorrow, 30 April at 12:00 PM onwards via the website thaiticketmajor.
