Jonas Blue returns to Defected Records with the track ‘Girl,’ eagerly awaited following his 2025 global hit ‘Edge Of Desire.’ Since releasing ‘Edge of Desire’ featuring Malive in mid-July 2025, the hot house track has amassed 200 million streams worldwide, driven by its steady climb on Shazam charts and strong support from major radio playlists across the UK, US, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, and recently South America.
This release also gained support through remix versions from diverse house music artists including Franky Rizardo, Jazz-N-Groove, and Serve Cold & Grigoré, as well as a Sunrise version featuring a DJ mix directly from Ibiza.
Now, nearly a full year later, Jonas Blue returns to the London house music scene with ‘Girl,’ a bright, summery track that showcases his ability to channel global success into the Defected label. The song features an irresistibly catchy vocal hook, pleasing guitar sounds, and a smooth four-on-the-floor drum beat, ready to fill venues worldwide—from outdoor parties to late-night clubs—throughout 2026 and beyond.
Jonas Blue shared, “This song comes from a pure longing for the past. I've always loved French house and early 2000s house music with its simple, catchy style that instantly lifts your mood. Along the way, I feel we lost that playful energy, especially those hooks that people can sing along to without even thinking. ‘Girl’ is my way of returning to that feeling. It’s one of those naturally flowing songs, no overthinking, just following the vibe. I'm excited for everyone to hear it, especially through Defected—I feel it’s the perfect home for this style.”
In the coming year, Jonas will captivate audiences worldwide with a 14-date sold-out US tour including stops in Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto. He will also join as a new resident artist at Hï Ibiza and Las Vegas, alongside releasing many new tracks lined up for release.
Jonas Blue’s ‘Girl’ will be released on Friday, 29 May 2026, under Defected Records. Listen to the stream here: https://defected.lnk.to/DFTD778D
