Exciting fans across Asia, South Korean indie rock band JANNABI has announced their first solo Asia tour since debut, titled 'Sweat & Stardust.' The tour will visit six major cities: Taipei, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur. Thai fans can look forward to seeing them on 16 August 2026 at Siam Pikh Hall. The event is organized by FriedRice Entertainment and LESLIE STUDIO LIMITED, in collaboration with BNJ Entertainment, which manages operations in Thailand.
The tour name 'Sweat & Stardust' draws inspiration from the shimmering sparkle that falls upon a sweat-drenched forehead. For JANNABI, this tour is more than a concert—it's a significant milestone to bring their music across borders, creating new memorable nights with fans throughout Asia. They also hope to share the special meaning of “first time” with fans worldwide.
JANNABI is widely recognized as one of South Korea’s leading indie rock bands, known for their unique musical identity. They reinterpret rock and roll sounds infused with 1960s–70s musical vibes into a contemporary style, creating a signature warm sound that evokes nostalgic memories of youth. The band's name, JANNABI, means “monkey,” reflecting that the original members were all born in 1992, the Year of the Monkey. Currently, the band consists of Choi Jung-hoon (lead vocals) and Kim Do-hyung (guitar), under the Peponi Music label.
Since officially debuting in 2014 with the single “Rocket,” they have gradually built their reputation through albums like MONKEY HOTEL and Legend, as well as soundtracks for popular series. They reached a peak with the hit song “For Lovers Who Hesitate,” which dominated Korean music charts and earned Song of the Year at the Korean Music Awards, cementing their status as artists who truly define “timeless music.”
For Thai fans, this is a special opportunity to experience the band's charm live and up close for the first time at the JANNABI 1st Asia Tour: Sweat & Stardust in Bangkok. Ticket prices are VIP 5,600 / 4,600 / 3,500 baht. Tickets go on sale Saturday, 27 June 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. via storebnjent.com.
